Custom Fields are specialized pieces of information that you can attach to your Carrick contacts. While the default fields allow you to store basic information such as names, addresses, emails, and phone numbers, Custom Fields enable you to include any other relevant details you may need. This flexibility allows you to tailor your messaging more effectively by utilizing the values stored in these fields.

One of the most common uses of custom fields are segments. By assigning the value of a custom field to a segment's filter criteria, you can group patients based on their information and needs.

There are five distinct types of Custom Fields available in Carrick Health:

• Drop Down Custom Fields: These fields provide a limited selection of valid inputs, allowing you to choose from predefined options.

• Number Custom Fields: These fields accept only numerical values, ensuring that the data entered is strictly numeric.

• Checkbox Custom Fields: These fields have two states: checked or unchecked, representing a true or false condition.

• Date Custom Fields: These fields are designed to store date values, such as birthdays or signup dates.

• Text Custom Fields: These fields are more flexible, allowing you to store any type of text as the value.
